A Great Value
Our six-concert series is surprisingly affordable. At $125 a season ($105 for seniors), our subscribers pay less than $21 per performance. In fact, the cost of a year’s worth of Civic Music performances is often less than a ticket for a single concert in a large city.
A Great Venue
The Corning Museum of Glass Auditorium (CMoG) is a world-class performance space. Situated at the western end of the museum, the auditorium was the centerpiece of a $65 million expansion and renovation project completed in 2001. It features tiered seating for 750, a large stage, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems that are specially configured to create an intimate venue. The facility is further distinguished by its conveniences. Event parking is free and adjacent to the museum. The entrance and walkway is well lit to add atmosphere to a hassle-free concert experience.
Today’s Top Talent and the Stars of Tomorrow
At Civic Music concerts you’ll experience the top talent of today and the rising stars of tomorrow. Over the past 20 years we have presented Broadway divas Patti LuPone and Nell Carter, jazz greats Wynton Marsalis, Sonny Rollins, Chick Corea, and Chuck Mangione, and gospel artists Mavis Staples and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Our classical artists have included Joshua Bell, Angèle Dubeau, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, the Turtle Island String Quartet, and the Dallas Brass. B.B. King, Béla Fleck and Flecktones, the Bobs, and the Boys Choir of Harlem are a few of the other musicians who have created special evenings for our audiences.
A Great Place to Connect
Civic Music is a great place to connect with family and friends, to enjoy performances that will enrich, inspire, and sometimes amaze you. We welcome music lovers of all ages and tastes.
