Welcome to the 2008 Season

We present classical, jazz and a variety of musical styles in a fall-to-spring series. Our six-concert season is rich, yet surprisingly affordable.

The Corning-Painted Post Civic Music Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting some of the premier musical talent of today and the rising stars of tomorrow in a world-class live performance venue. Join us in celebrating our 80th year as we continue to deliver musical performances that inspire, enrich, and deepen connections with our friends and neighbors.

Celebrate – Inspire – Connect is the theme of Civic Music’s 2008 -2009 season. We will commemorate our 80th anniversary through an eclectic mix of musical performances, ranging from jazz-classical fusion and other jazz forms to classical ensemble, Celtic fiddle and brass ensemble.

The Billy Childs Jazz-Chamber Ensemble, which artfully blends jazz and classical music into an organic whole, will launch our season on Saturday, September 27th. Next, the classical ensemble Concertante, whose repertoire ranges from works by established masters to new works by contemporary composers, will perform on Saturday, October 25th.
